Beauty Kaki Wannabe Must Know! | 5 Steps MUST DO to Pick The Right Beauty Products

Hey girls, I know there is a wide range of beauty products in the market. Usually people they don’t really makeup, they will ask me this kind of question in Malaysian accent (Yes, I am Malaysian…).

Below is the TOP 3 question from them:

1. Hey, what is the basic cosmetic I need to buy ah? I am beginner only leh…
2. The cosmetic set expensive not? I’ve no budget one leh, but I want to get all la…
3. Which brand nicer ah? It won’t cause me acne right?

Ok……. From my point of view, yes of course you can get cheap one as in basic one first, then slowly you will find your favourite brand or products.

For beginner I will suggest you look for drugstore’s products. Eg. Watson, Sasa, Guardian and etc.. The beauty products there had reasonable price with standard or sometime they have the products is more than standard quality.

I am stated the 5 thing I usually do when I looking for the right skincare or cosmetic products.

5 Steps MUST DO to Pick The Right Beauty Products (Skincare/Cosmetics)

1. Identify your skin type

   
   NORMAL SKIN TYPE
   Normal skin is not too dry and not too oily. It has:

   • No or few imperfections
   • No severe sensitivity
   • Barely visible pores
   • A radiant complexion

   COMBINATION SKIN TYPE
   A combination skin type can be dry or normal in some areas and oily in others, such as the T-zone (nose, forehead, and chin). Many people have combination skin, which may benefit from slightly different types of skin care in different areas.

   Combination skin can produce:

   • Overly dilated pores
   • Blackheads
   • Shiny skin

   DRY SKIN TYPE
   When exposed to drying factors, skin can crack, peel, or become itchy, irritated, or inflamed. If your skin is very dry, it can become rough and scaly, especially on the backs of your hands, arms, and legs.

   Dry skin can produce:

   • Almost invisible pores
   • Dull, rough complexion
   • Red patches
   • Less elasticity
   • More visible lines

   OILY SKIN TYPE
   Oily skin can produce:

   • Enlarged pores
   • Dull or shiny, thick complexion
   • Blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes.

2. Research before you buy!

   You can always google or youtube before you go to the shop. Now a days a lot of blogger or youtuber review the products. Do check the ingredient and also the Pros and Cons of the products. Possible to look for more testimonial and review.

3. Make Comparison

   Eg. You’re looking for a liquid foundation, you may look for some video which reviewed by different country people… They might be American or Asian. A simple foundation they might have different outcome on different skin tone (no racist), skin type, weather and etc.

   Usually I will look for American review first then only go into Asian. American they got variety on the beauty products which I am more interesting. After I pick the few that I like then I will only go to the Asian review for further details.

4. Get advise and try it before you buy!

   You may go to the counter and ask for advise and test out. Especially for beginner, I prefer you try on the product on your hand before you buy.
   Yes, I understand you’ve no idea with the texture or the colors, but at least you have the option when you buy. You got a lot of research but the you also might not happy with the smell or texture like those people.

5. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

   Finally I got my cosmetics and just pay the money and THAT’S ALL!!!
   YOU’RE GRADUATED!! Welcome to the world of makeup ❤ ❤ lol

If you’re looking for sweat-proof effect, do not use powder cosmetics. Because once you sweat, your makeup will melt. Do use liquid base cosmetics.

It’s very different compare with Korean Makeup! Korean makeup very concentrate on foundation, face & skin. Taiwanese makeup they makes their looks BIG by using few colors of eyeshadow, black eyeliner and the most important thing, mascara! Hi Girls! This is the event I went on last month, I was invited to IDO’S Clinic at Setia Walk, Puchong to have a special ‘Beauty Blogger Party’! Now finally got time to do this quick sharing about this amazing technology for all the girls!

Anyway, IDO’S Clinic is a comprehensive chain of skin, laser and aesthetic clinics which focusing on evidence-based, state of the art of lasers and aesthetic innovations to restore and enhance your skin, face and body.

So let’s start with a quick intro of their company by Dr Lucas Chia,the Medical Director of IDO’S Clinic. 🙂

Dr Chia very cute, all the way of the introduction speech very funny. haha He shared a lot of testimonial (his family itself) for us as a reference. He said, instead of present us their customers’ pictures, he have better idea by using the testimonial of his own family member to show us the result. By looking through the ‘before & after’ picture you can see how Dr Chia makes the magic happens. In the whole intro session.
